Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, clear rooms on an urban live fire range during Exercise Rising Thunder 18, at the Yakima Training Center, Washington, Sept. 7. This 15-day bilateral exercise with the 1st Infantry Regiment, Japan Ground Self Defense Force, gives both units an opportunity to learn and share best practices while conducting combat training.
