The first catalogue issued contained 1,826titles and 10,336 volumes; by 1913 there were 2,722titles, representing 13,141 books, in the store-room. The schemehas proved a great success, and the secretary writes:Applications for catalogues and particulars of thescheme continue to be received regularly from membersand officials of the education committees of other coun-ties, with a view to the adoption of a similar scheme. In addition to pro\iding books for the children, thiscounty has established a teachers reference library atthe central store, from which books are loaned to teach-ers on request.
