PERENNIAL or ORIENTAL POPPY The Perennial or Oriental Poppy is the most mag- nificent of all, growing to the height of three or four feet and bearing flowers six inches or more in diameter. The colors range from the most bril- liant scarlet through various shades of red to or- ange, salmon and pale pink. They bloom in early summer and the enormous blossoms set on very long, strong stems make a most brilliant show in clumps or borders. S'ure to attract great atten- tion and may be seen from a great distance. The plant is perennial, growing well from seed which should be sown where the plants are to grow per- manently. It sometimes blooms the first year but attains its full glory the second summer. Mixed Hybrids 20 NEW ICELAND POPPIES These hardy perennials flower well the first sea- son and for several years afterwards. They are most beautiful and graceful, the bright, large blos- soms being borne on tall, wire-like stems well above a beautiful crown of fern-like foliage. The flowers are of the most beautiful satiny texture, crinkled and rippled in a charming manner. The flowers are excellent for cutting if newly opened flowers are chosen and cut in the early morning.
