First pier to shore zipline opens in Bournemouth, Dorset, UK According to the company, Openwide International, the PierZip line is the first pier-to-shore zipwire experience in the world, part of the plan to revive Bournemouth Pier. With a 60 foot ‘launch tower’ visitors can zipglide 820ft over the sea to the beach, with a dual line to share the experience.
