TAROT - THE FOOL CARD - CATS Three atout, or picture cards from different Tarot decks, selected to illustrate that the animal attacking the Fool was at one time regarded as being a cat, rather than a dog (as in other decks). The first card (left) is the Fool (Le Fol) from the Jean-Pierre Payen Tarot, of circa 1735. The second is the Fool from the Court de Gebelin design of 1773. The third is from the Oswald Wirth deck of 1889
