ROYAL AIR FORCE: ITALY, THE BALKANS AND SOUTH-EAST EUROPE, 1942-1945. - Operation FLOTSAM: the major supply drop to Yugoslav partisans by RAF and SAAF units of the Mediterranean Allied Air Forces. Here parachute containers, dropped from a Consolidated Liberator of No. 34 Squadron SAAF, are seen descending over the drop zone near the town of Predgrad, 30 miles south-west of Zagreb.
