Inscription on tomb in St Mary's church yard Scarborough The text reads In Memory of Cas Halliday son of Cass and Ann Halliday, commander of the barque Elizabeth, of Scarboro, who died at Calcutta, April 4th 1846,of brain fever, brought on by exposure to the sun, aged 22 years. He sleeps in Jesus.
