KINGS BAY, Ga. ug. 6, 2021) Capt. William Patterson, outgoing commodore, Commander, Submarine Squadron 16, (right) salutes Rear Adm. John Spencer, commander, Submarine Group Ten, while stating he has been relieved of his duties during a change of command ceremony held at the chapel onboard Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia. Incoming commodore Capt. Todd Nethercott relieves Patterson. Squadron 16 is responsible for the maintenance and operation of two Ohio-class guided-missile submarines, USS Florida (SSGN 728) and USS Georgia (SSGN 729).
