A fisherwoman and her husband push the boat before starting another lobster fishing journey on Pico island. Women are well present in the fishing industry in the Azores islands, but only a few venture to the sea. Mostly work on land preparing baits and nets and cleaning or selling fish. Today, there are only five fisherwomen that go into the sea, making them probably the last fisherwomen in the archipelago.
