Fuel cell being removed from Space Shuttle Endeavour's payload bay in preparation for the shuttle's public display. This is one of three fuel cells that provided electrical power for the shuttle. Hydrogen and oxygen reacted within the cell to create electrical power, water and heat. The excess heat was fed into heat exchangers and the water was fed into the potable water storage system.
