Members of the Fort Wayne TinCaps baseball team toured the 122nd Fighter Wing June 14, to strengthen ties between the community and the wing, in support of Military Appreciation Night. Kodie Tidwell, Peter Van Gansen, Ty France, Nick Vilter, and AJ Kennedy, got up-close and personal with the Blacksnake’s A-10 Thunderbolt II “Warthog” fighter jet, learned about weapons and munitions, and took part in a demonstration of the base’s A-10 flight simulator June 14 at the Indiana Air Guard Base, Fort Wayne, Ind.
