Locomotive 282 was attached to thepresidents special train at Barra do Pirahy and pulled itto Cruzeiro, a distance of 147 kilometers, or about 90 miles,the time being three hours. The trip w-as made with ex-cellent results, particularly in the long stretch between Barrado Pirah\- and Cruzeiro. During a great part of the trip the president remained.
