An Austrian hunting hanger for an Imperial and Royal forest warden,late 19th century Polished single-edged blade with fuller on either side,double-edged toward the symmetrical point(slight signs of corrosion). Richly cut brass hilt decorated with raised hunting scenes,stag horn grip,the guard-plate with double-headed eagle and heraldic shield "FJ"(Kaiser Franz Joseph I,1830 - 1916),remains of gold plating.
