In a subsequent number of the " American Journal of Science," (Vol. XXVIII. p. 85,) is published a letter from Prof. Oswald Heer, the eminent Swiss fossil botanist, con- taining remarks on these plants, of which drawings had been sent him by Mr. Lesquereux.
