A North German large hunting knife, circa 1700 Sturdy double-edged cut and thrust blade, struck on both sides with a deep, crowned rose mark. Both sides of the base finely etched with hunting motifs consisting of mounted huntsman, boar, stag and hound amidst tendrils. Slightly curved brass quillons, grip made of finely pearled staghorn with brass pommel cap. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with brass furniture.
