Hewitt was recognized as “Hero of the Week,” by Task Force Mustang, for his performance as a key leader in UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter Blade Folding Teams, responsible for preparing Army helicopters for shipment by Air Force assets in the Middle East. His leadership and dedication is reflected in the numerous academic and hands-on training exercises he required of all his team members, resulting in preparing aircraft for shipment in less than two hours while conforming to Air Force regulations.
