Crewmembers assigned to the 270-foot Famous-class cutter USCGC Escanaba (WMEC 907) remove the ship's shore tie, which provides power from shore as they prepare to depart port in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Aug. 3, 2021, to support Operation Nanook. The Coast Guard is again participating with partners in Operation Nanook, an annual sovereignty operation and maneuver warfare exercise conducted by the Canadian Armed Forces in the arctic.
