Irish Gorget, gold collar.


Irish Gorget, or gold collar, one of eleven known examples displaying solar imagery, all from Ireland, 1000-800 BC. These crescent shaped collars were made from flat sheets of embossed gold and incorporate 2 solar discs, one at each terminal.
