Knesset member ROBERT ILATOV of Yisrael Beiteinu, an enthusiastic supporter of the proposed 'Muazzin Bill'; “Legislation in regard to the call for prayer exists all over the world including Muslim countries”. The Israeli government proposed legislation to ban religious institutions from using outdoor loudspeakers, called the 'Muazzin Bill', as in the Muslim call to prayer which occurs 5 times a day. The bill, labeled a threat to the Muslim communities and a move by the Israeli government to shut down mosques, is scheduled to come up for a preliminary vote.
