On the whole it seems to be more close to Eusirus than to Eusirogenes. It differs from all other species of Eusirus2) in the very broad process on fifth joint of pereiopods 1-2 and in the very narrow 6th joint in the same limbs. The specific name abyssi is proposed in allusion to the very great depth (1505 m) in which it was taken. 304. Eusirus tjalfiensis K. Stephenson. Eusirus tjalfiensis K. Stephensen, Vid. Medd. Naturh.
