It is odorless and tasteless and insolublein the ordinary solvents. This substance per cent of iodol, may be kept without change inwell stoppered tubes, and may be heated to 100 to105° C without sutiering decomposition. According-to Laquer and Somerfeld, i-^-dolene is like iodol anantiseptic, and may be employed as a substitute foriodoform.
