The Zillertalbahn mountain steam railway in the Austrian Tyrol that travels between the industrial town of Jenbach and the holiday resort of Mayrhofen
The Zillertalbahn mountain railway that serves the Zillertal valley between the industrial town of Jenbach and the holiday resort of Mayrhofen. The 760mm narrow gauge railway was built in 1902 to service the mining of magnesium from the subsidiary valley of Hinter Tux. Today the rolling stock is mainly by diesel locomotive, then during the summer one of the original steam trains provides tourists with a nostalgic train journey better known as the Dampf Zug or Puffing Billy
