Building work at Piccadilly Circus in London, 1926, (1935). 'World's Busiest Roundabout - to simplify congestion of traffic in the main London thoroughfares, the "roundabout" system was instituted. The picture shows the new system in operation at Piccadilly, which at that time was undergoing many structural alterations. Apart from the new buildings in course of erection, a great new Underground station was then being constructed.' The statue of Eros has been temporarily removed - it was replaced in 1931.
