A picture of the flowers of the English Elm tree, Ulmus sp. The English Elm is thought be native to Britain and was once a common species in wet woods, hedgerows, and drain banks. The English Elm grows to a height of about 30 metres and forms suckers which produce new trees. Many localised forms of Elm occur in different parts of Britain.
