Plant in sandy soil in full sun 35. PENTSTEMON PUBESCENS PENTSTEMON:—This strictly North American genus is one of the best of our American plants, yet is little known to the average gardener. In the past the main trouble with this plant is that it has been treated too good. In nature it grows on the poorest of mountain soils in full sun.
