Thailand's 'Stonehenge' at Koh Hin Ngam (Island) located in Tarutao Marine Park in Satun Province, Southern Thailand.
Koh Hin Ngam or (Koh Pulo) or "Beautiful Stone Island" is a part of Adang Archipelago and Marine Park in Satun Province of Thailand. It is reached by long tail boat from nearby Koh Lipe. The stones were polished and shaped from the action of waves hitting the island during the monsoon season each year. According to myth, the island is settled by the God of Tarutao and anyone who removes one of the stones will be cursed. A sign on the island even specifies that according to ancient belief stealing the stones will lead to the death of your family members… The National Park office on Koh Adang apparently receives many stones by mail from all over the world each year! My advice, take a photo, but leave the stones where they are! Alternatively, if you arrange the rocks in to a tier of 12 and make a wish, the wish will come true. The island you can see in the distance is Koh Rawi .
