, Bruges, West Flanders, Belgium - Detail of large fountain in the square Centrum 't Zand. The four bronze statues of women symbolizing the Flemish cities of Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent and Kortrijk. The fountain on 't Zand was designed by Stefaan De Puydt and Livia Canestraro 1985-1986. In 2002, Bruges was European Capital of Culture.
