The Burj Khalifa skyscraper (centre right, 829 metres) has been the tallest building in the world since 2010. The light blue area (centre) is the man-made Burj Khalifa Lake. The Boulevard Plaza Tower is by the lake at lower centre. At left is Dubai Creek, an inlet from the sea. At upper left are more skyscrapers. This area (Business Bay) is being developed further with more buildings being constructed. The two main roads, intersecting at upper right, are the D71 (right) and the E11 (top). This image was acquired on 4 January 2012 by the CNES (French space agency) Pleiades satellite.
