In another half hour Mont-real is lost in the distance, and we turntowards the prow, as our good steamer cutsher way through the crests of wavelets anddashes foam for a hundred yards on either the evening shades thicken as weplough past bay and promontory, church spireand hamlet, as we meet the crafts of every kind from thelumbering barge to the ocean greyhound, and silencefalls upon the ever changing scene.
