Black and white infra red landscape of this hindu temple with pagoda roofs Jal Binayek is an important shrine to Ganesh the elephant headed god in the mythology of hinduism It stands on the banks of the holy Bagmati river This picture was captured in October 2005 using a digital camera without its infrared filter and the result is the same as traditional black and white infrared film It produces a surreal grainy image with darkened skies extra contrast and often a darker slightly ethereal mood Foliage is white due to the IR light it reflects The result is a dramatic graphic and striking image in B W B W
