Tapered blade of flattened hexagonal section,fullered on the upper third,with gilded decorative etching against a blued background and the inscription,"Vivat Catharina" at the forte. A maker's mark,"Solingen",on both sides of the ricasso. Brass hilt with partially well-preserved fire gilding covered with old patina. Brass wire grip winding.
