Indianapolis has been in the path of the flood during the last week and there has been no business for the flo- rists. The trade has been exceedingly fortunate, however, as the writer knows of no one who suffered damage from the high water. This was the worst flood in the history of Indian- apolis, as miles of territory were entirely covered with water and about 5,000 dwellings were partly submerged. The telephones, steam and electric cars were put out of business. The greatest inconvenience suffered by the florists was caused by the shutting down of the water works. The water supply was off for about four days, which made it diflScult to fee* the boilers and water the plants. Business has been at a standstill. Various Not^s. Albert Pittet was high and dry on a hill in the neighborhood of the river and the flood district. The National Cooperative Show Gar- dens
