Myocardial infarction (heart attack), 3D coloured computed tomography (CT) angiogram. This posterior (from behind) view of the left side of the heart shows the left atrium, pulmonary veins, left ventricle and coronary arteries in a patient suffering from angina. Narrowing and blockages (stenosis and occlusion) in the right coronary artery are the cause of the heart attack. The bright area at lower right in the cardiac apex is myocardial enhancement where the body is attempting to supply the damaged heart tissue with oxygenated blood from other blood vessels.
