, Verdun, Departement Meuse, France - Chaussee Tower at the Meuse river, the link between so-called small fortress walls from the 13th century and great fortress walls from the 14th century which went around the city. The tower was built in 1380 by the first mayor of the Imperial City Verdun Jean Wautrec.
