Lansdowne Electric LightCompany. The Lansdowne Electric LightCompany was organized August22, 1898, with the following officers:President, Henry C. Statzell;Vice-President, J. Milton Lutz;Secretary and Treasurer, EdwinB. Lewis; Directors, RichardsonShoemaker, Edgar T. Bishop, Kelly, N. J. Mitchell, and Tam-many P. Street. The plant waslocated on Bartram avenue, be-tween Union and Wycombe ave-nues. The Company sold itsplant to the Philadelphia Subur-ban Electric Company January1, 1906. In December, 1908, the pre-sent Company had in operation inthe Borough 174 incandescentlights of 25 candle power each, andstreet lamps, distributed about300 feet apart, and also had 484electric lights located in Boroughresidences.
