(Oardner) Illinois: Infection this year throughout the state, but the total very small. There v/ill probably be very little recordable damage. (Tehon, July 15) Michigan: Stem rust not as yet oomr^on in fields though wheat is in hard dough stage* A few cases found, but these were close to barberry and already in teliospore stage.
