The wood most commonly used by the Khuzi for spoons was isidwadwa (Greya sutherlandia (Doke & Vilakazi 1964: 177)) or Leucosidea cericea (Watt & Breyer-Brandwijk 1962: 1251), which was cut in local forests (Bulwer, 1969).
