The Chateau du Rivau is located just South of Chinon in the Loire Valley, France. It is privately owned. The owners have carefully preserved the character of this essentially late medieval castle and it is open to the public from the spring to the autumn each year. The gardens are renowned and recorded as "gardens of particular interest". They are designed to interest a wide range of family visitors with children and there is also an exceptional collection of roses.
