The Throne Room with its Throne and famous griffin couchant fresco was excavated and restorated mainly from 1900 to 1935 by Arthur Evans. Teile des Palastes wie hier der Thronsaal mit den Greifen-Frescos wurde von 1900 bis 1935 von Arthur Evans ausgegraben und restaurtiert.
