Lady Cynthia Mary Evelyn Asquith (née Charteris; 27 September 1887 – 31 March 1960) was an English writer and socialite, known for her ghost stories and diaries. She also wrote novels and edited a number of anthologies, as well as writing for children and on the British Royal family. The Third Ghost Book is a first Pan publication from 1957. A Great Pan (GP86). Stories by 27 writers. Authors include Evelyn Fabyan, Mary Treadgold, Elizabeth Bowen, Ronald Blythe, L P Hartley (who also supplied the introduction), Robert Aickman, Angus Wilson, Cynthia Asquith, John Connell, and James Laver.
