Portsmouth Hampshire Saturday 23rd January 2016 The supporters from Portsmouth and Oxford City clashed on the way to the train station after the match this afternoon between their two teams. Many have slammed the behaviour and some have said that the Portsmouth fans reacted like this because they felt they had lost their dignity A large crowd of angry supporters were penned in by police officers just after 5pm on Goldsmith Avenue in Portsmouth. Minutes earlier some had been throwing glass bottles and rocks which being hurled towards rival fans. One member of the public on a moped was thrown off as fans ran across the road towards their rivals. Police officers from Hampshire Constabulary quickly closed the road off and used six police vans to form a barrier between the group. Four Police horses charged up the road as some chanted 657 657. ©UKNIP
