Work by artist Annie Ross. Forest II, Spirit Animals: Towards a New Taxidermy.

"Forest II, Spirit Animals: Towards a New Taxidermy is a group of used and discarded life-size animal mounts (bear, mountain goat, elk, deer) re-covered in beads, old fabrics, food wrappers, and the like, to speak about where fur goes when the forest disappears. Bears, mountain goats and other Beings will be presented in their modern clothing to speak of resource extraction, species loneliness, and hope for healing."
