The present board consists of V. K. Stanley, president; M. , vice-president; John Madden, secretary; S. H. Dodge, treasurer; J. S. McGrath, and J. S. Winans. The graduates and undergraduates of the School are found in nearly every city and village in the State, and through them it is exerting a greatinfluence for education of a higher and better sort. Many of its graduates are occupying prominent positions in other States. The School is recognized as one of the best of its kind in this country. Its popularity at home attests the thoroughness of its work and thefirm hold it has taken in the affections of the people. Tuition in the Normal Department is free to Kansas students. (16).
