An asado, a traditional Argentinian barbecue. One of the stalls in the Feria de Mataderos; a popular arts and crafts market for local people celebrating gaucho traditions and selling good quality leather, jewellery and wood carving. Musicians perform folk music on a central stage throughout the day, people dress up in traditional outfits and dance, and gauchos race their horses in a nearby street. The air is thick with the smell of asados and other delicious food on offer.
