Hong Kong, China - 7 April 2000 An icon of modern architectural design, the HSBC headquarters in Hong Kong was completed in 1985. Here we see it from the corner of Statue Square. Designed by Norman Foster and Ove Arup, this was the most expensive building in the world - at a cool Billion HK dollars - when completed in 1985. The fact that it still looks good 35 years later speaks for itself.
