A queer, blue-gray bird, with black or gray head and short tail, generally found creeping about the trunk and limbs of trees, as often head down as otherwise. Pleasant, cheery little fellows, who remain with us throughout the year, associating with Downy Woodpeckers, Tufted Titmice, Carolina Chicka- dees, Juncos and Tree Sparrows.
