The Soyuz MS-09 rocket blasts into space carrying the crew of Expedition 56 to the International Space Station from the Baikonur Cosmodrome June 6, 2018 in Baikonur, Kazakhstan. Crew members Alexander Gerst of the European Space Agency, Serena Aunon-Chancellor of NASA, and Sergey Prokopyev of Roscosmos will spend the next six months living and working aboard the orbiting laboratory.
