Commence sowing the extra early varieties as early as the ground can be worked in February or March ; continue for a succession every two weeks until^June, then â discontinuing until the middle of August, when a good crop may be secured by sowing the extra early and early sorts for fall use. They should be kept clean and earthed up twice during the growth. Tlie wrinkled are not as hardy as the small round :sorts, and if planted early should have a dry soil, or tliey are liable to rot in the ground ; they are, however, the sweetest and .best flavored varieties. The dwarf varieties are best suited for small gardens or for forcing, planted in rows 1 foot apart. Packets of all varieties of Peas at 10 cts. each, postpaid. Alaska. An extra early round Pea, bearing Pods of a dark green color; 2 feet. Pt., cts. (postpaid, 23 cts.); qt., 25 cts. (postpaid, ); 4 qts., 75 cts; peck, $ Surprise Pea. This Pea is one of the earliest of the wrin- kled sorts, and fully as early as the smooth varieties, to which it is far superior in quality. The vines grow about two feet high, and are enormously productive, bearing many pods, which are well filled with deliciously sweet Peas, which, while not as large as llie American Wonder, are fully its equal in quality.
