Mr. Prince is the son ofFrederick Octavius and Helen (Henry) Prince, and wasborn in Winchester, Mass., Nov. 30, i860, the year inwhich several other men who have attained distinctionin Massachusetts were born. His father is a distin-. FREDERICK H. PRINCE guished ex-mayor of Boston, and for many years wassecretary of the National Democratic Committee. H. Prince received his early education in public andprivate schools, and entered Harvard College in 1878,but left in 1880 to go into business. In 1885 he estab-lished the firm of F. H. Prince & Co., and his careerhas been one of uninterrupted prosperity. Mr. Princeis vice-president of the New York & New England Rail-road Company, a director of the Chicago Junction Railways and UnionStock Yards Com-pany, and a directorin many other rail-roads and large cor-p o r a t i o n s . has been con-cerned in some of- the heaviest financialundertakings in thecountry.
