It yields, under good cultivation, from lOO to 140 bushels shelled corn per acre. The ears are very large, containing 14 to 32 rows of medium sized yel- low grains. It furnishes a large amount of excellent fodder, growing 12 to 16 feet high, and taking a firm, stronghold in the ground. It is, undoubtedly, one of the best yellow field varieties for rich land in this latitude and the South. It cannot be relied upon to mature in time for the North.
